Bouygues Construction is recognised by the Top Employers Institute for its best practices in HR policies

09-02-2021

Bouygues Construction, a responsible and committed player in sustainable construction, has been recognised and certified by the Top Employers Institute, an independent international body, as “Top Employer France” for the fifth consecutive year and “Top Employer Europe” for the third year, with certification also awarded to its entities in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Republic.

This “Top Employer” certification rewards initiatives that Bouygues Construction has been developing for many years within its organisation to offer its employees the best possible working environment through innovative HR practices. The Group is the only construction company included in this survey.

The Top Employers Institute programme assessed Bouygues Construction’s HR policy through the “HR Best Practices Survey”, which addresses six major HR areas, broken down into 20 themes such as talent management strategy, the work environment, talent acquisition, training and skills development, well-being, and diversity and inclusion.

Sandrine Brissart, HR Director of Bouygues Construction, commented: “We are delighted with this Top Employer recognition, which underlines the importance of the human-centred themes highlighted by the Top Employers Institute and which we value so highly at Bouygues Construction. We have continued to focus on these topics in 2020 despite a year made difficult by the public health crisis, and we have even reinforced them by defining a truly inclusive corporate strategy, called Imagine. At a time when the Group is facing serious challenges in terms of recruitment, the attractiveness of our employer brand is based not only on the excellence of our expertise (in construction, civil engineering, energy and services) but also on issues closely linked to working conditions and CSR.”

Three main areas of work were identified by the Top Employer 2021 survey: firstly, the quality of life at work, now in teleworking, with a focus on employee health and safety; secondly, everyone’s professional development, thanks to a proactive training and career management policy; and thirdly, a commitment to diversity with a particularly strong focus on gender equality.
