Appointment of Philippe Jouy, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Construction, with responsibility for Bouygues Bâtiment France

Philippe Jouy has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Construction, with responsibility for Bouygues Bâtiment France. He will be a member of the Executive Committee.

 

He said: “Our unique model combining general contracting and property development, the commitment and expertise of our teams and the local roots of Bouygues Bâtiment France are our greatest assets. They give us the means to strengthen our position as the preferred partner of local authorities, by supporting them in projects that are a catalyst for local dynamics and environmental transition.”

 

Philippe Jouy holds an engineering diploma from the ESTP, an MSc degree from the University of Birmingham and an MBA from the London Business School. He began his career as an environmental engineer in the United States. He joined the Bouygues group in 1993, where he held a number of positions in the finance function. In 1999 he entered the Audit department at Bouygues SA, transferring to Bouygues Bâtiment International in 2002 as financial director for the Americas region. He was appointed finance director of Bouygues UK in 2005. From 2007 onwards, he held a succession of general management positions in the UK and in France. In 2015 he became president of Bouygues Bâtiment Nord-Est. Latterly, Philippe was based in Hong Kong, where he had been CEO for the Asia Region at Bouygues Bâtiment International since 2021.

 

Bouygues Bâtiment France consists of Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, itself comprising specialised entities managed by Thierry Fistarol (Brézillon, Habitat Social, Habitat Résidentiel and Industrie & Equipements Publics) and Albin Dargery (Construction Privée, Rénovation Privée); regional subsidiaries (Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est, Bouygues Bâtiment Nord-Est, Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest, Bouygues Bâtiment Centre Sud-Ouest) directed by Jean-Michel Mendret; Linkcity France, a property development subsidiary managed by Laurent Mourey; and Elan, a subsidiary specialising in environmental consulting run by Sylvie Gamelin as part of the Construire Autrement unit, which has Fabrice Denis at the helm.
